Shark Fishing

So you want to catch a big Shark, huh?  You better be strong, tough, and able to hold on!  On our boat the Captain sets the hook, then passes the rod to who wants it.  It then becomes "Man vs. Fish"!  We only use a butt belt, no chair, no harness, no nothing but your arm strength!  If after a couple of hours into the battle and you can't hold on any longer, we cut the line and the Shark wins and you lose!  We don't pass the rod, 1 Shark - 1 angler.  Try if you think you can!  In 2008 the Atlantic Adventurer landed one of the largest Blue Sharks ever caught off the coast of Maine, and was seen on the Discovery Channel's, Shark Week series, with Matt Watson's "Man vs. Fish".

One of the largest Blue Sharks ever landed on the coast of Maine.  Caught by Jim Howe "regular" and close friend.  This Shark towed our boat 2 and 1/2 miles against the drift during the 2 hour battle.  A great day for all aboard the Atlantic Adventurer.  This was on the Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" series, With Matt Watson's "Man vs. Fish". 431 pounds.
